MCA revises AoC-4 Non-XBRL and AoC-4 XBRL(Non-Ind AS) forms as per changes related to demonetization. The revised form is likely to be available from 7th November 2017. Hence, MCA directs stakeholders to do filing with revised forms w.e.f. 8th November 2017.

Companies are required to file Financial Statements with the Registrar along with Form AOC-4 every year. In addition, Central Govt. has mandated companies to file their financial statement in XBRL format.

MCA defines XBRL as extensible business reporting language which was introduced to bring harmony in filing of various reports by some big companies, introduced Companies (Filing of documents & Forms in Extensible Business Reporting Language) Rules, 2015.

As per the Rule 3 following are companies required to filed their financial statements and other documents under section 137 of the Companies Act, 2013 , with the registrar in e-Form AOC-4 XBRL :-

  1. Companies listed with any Stock Exchange(s) in India & their Indian subsidiaries.
  2. Companies having paid up capital of Rs. 5Cr or above.
  3. companies having turnover of Rs. 100 crore or above.
  4. companies which were hitherto covered under the Companies (Filing of Documents & Forms in Extensible Business Reporting Language) Rules, 2011
